Rhône Wine Tasting

Rhône Wine Week takes place from 25th to 30th November 2013 around the country. We’ve also come across claims that St Patrick himself brought Syrah to the Rhône (and we’d like to think he did) then for Rhône Wine Week we are in a way welcoming home many of our own. Syrah is one of the main grape varieties grown in the Rhône Valley; it is truly at home in this region.Visit the Ballymaloe pop up wine shop at the newly launched Food Emporium at Brown Thomas Cork, on Saturday 30th November, pop in anytime from from 10.30am - 6.30pmThere’ll be Rhône wines on tasting throughout the day. Call in, taste some delicious wines, learn all about the famous Rhone Valley, and meet Colm from Ballymaloe who will be on hand for a Rhone Valley wine tasting. We will also have some of the delicious Valrhrona chocolate, produced in the Rhone, for tasting also! For more information on the Rhone wine week see their website
