Ballymaloe is a Country House, situated in East Cork. The restaurant and guest house has been open for 57 years and has built itself a reliable reputation with a steady stream of regular guests. The ‘front of office’ team is very much the ‘Face of Ballymaloe’. They are the first-person visitors or guests will meet on arrival, and for this reason the role/job is an extremely important one.
Main Duties Front of House
Ballymaloe House is a country house run by the Allen family. Still to this day it is very much a family run business. We are situated on a farm in the countryside and our philosophy is very much based on simplicity and the idea that less is more. Ballymaloe is very different and is run very differently to a hotel and this is almost the most important thing to understand. Guests are coming to stay in a house in the country with, the experience being more personal & unique.
Minimum of 1 years’ hotel reception experience desirable.

Schedule: 8-hour shifts / Day & Night Shifts / Weekdays & Weekends.

Ballymaloe House is recruiting an experienced bar person to join the Ballymaloe House bar team in Shanagarry, Co. Cork. If you feel that you have the following experience and expertise, we would be delighted to hear from you.
Our Kitchen Porters play a vital part in the daily operation of the kitchen at Ballymaloe House. We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and hard working individuals to join our kitchen team. If you would like to be part of a well established, committed and creative team, we would be delighted to hear from you.
Applicants must be strong (it is a very physical role) and be available to work all shift patterns over a 7 day period.
Position requires the successful applicant to execute a wide variety of organisational and administrative duties. Full events cycle experience and skill required, from ideas and planning to execution. Applicants must have excellent communication and people skills. Self-motivation, the ability to work under pressure, be proactive, multi task and prioritize are all essential skills required, as is the ability to work well and with a pleasant manner as part of a team.
Events / project management experience essential. Marketing and events qualifications a plus.
