Revenue & Reservations Manager

We are seeking a Revenue & Reservations Manager to join the team at Ballymaloe House Hotel.

This role is central to the continued success of the hotel, combining strategic oversight with day-to-day operational excellence. The Revenue & Reservations Manager will be responsible for maximising revenue through thoughtful pricing, inventory control, demand forecasting, and effective distribution across all booking channels, while overseeing the smooth running of the reservations function.

Working closely with marketing and finance, this position will monitor performance, analyse trends, and implement strategies to optimise occupancy, rate, and revenue. The role also ensures a seamless and professional reservations experience, supporting conversion, guest satisfaction, and overall commercial performance.

Responsibilities:

Revenue Management:

Develop and implement pricing strategies to maximise RevPAR (Revenue per Available Room).
Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and demand patterns.
Manage room inventory across all distribution channels.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly forecasts and reports.
Analyse performance data and adjust strategies accordingly.
Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to support the overall business mix and promotional activity.
Prepare regular revenue reports and performance summaries for senior management.
Track key KPIs, including occupancy, ADR (Average Daily Rate), and RevPAR.
Provide commercial insights and recommendations to senior management.
Oversee the effective use of the PMS.
Ensure accurate rate loading and inventory distribution across all channels.

 

 

 

 

Reservations Management:

Oversee the reservations team and the day-to-day booking operation.
Ensure all reservations are handled accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
Manage room allocation, availability, and overbooking strategies.
Maintain rate integrity across all systems and platforms.
Handle group bookings, special requests, and VIP reservations with care and attention to detail.
Train and support reservations staff to deliver consistently high service standards.
Ensure a smooth and professional booking experience from initial enquiry through to confirmation.
Resolve reservation-related issues or guest concerns promptly and professionally.
Support front office operations when required.

 

Requirements:

Proven experience in revenue management and/or hotel reservations.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Good working knowledge of PMS, channel management, and revenue management systems.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Strong attention to detail and organisational ability.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

 

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role.  The candidate must be legally eligible to work in Ireland. Candidates must already hold valid permission to work in Ireland. We are not able to offer employment permit sponsorship.
