Walled Garden
Filled With Delights
Whether you have a keen interest in horticulture or simply have an appreciation for beautiful sites, then a leisurely stroll through our walled garden is a must. Managed by our experienced Head Gardener and team, the garden provides us with the wide variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables. It also provides us with the herbs that make up our menus and the fresh flowers we place in our public areas, guestrooms and dining rooms.
While you can explore the walled garden at any time, one of the best ways to do so is on one of our complimentary guided tours. Then see if you can spot some of the loganberries, gooseberries, raspberries, currants or rhubarb we grow each year.
Walled Garden Tour
From April until late September, you can join our Head Gardener on a fascinating guided tour through their wonderful walled garden. Together, you will visit the different sections they take such good care of and learn their various planting techniques. While you are there, see if you can spot some of the wide variety of seasonal fruits, vegetables and herbs we grow and harvest.
This informative tour takes place on Wednesdays between 10:45-11:30 from April through to late September. While complimentary to hotel guests, we do ask that you please prebook in advance.
