The historic wine cellar is located deep in the rocky foundations of the castle at Ballymaloe House Hotel and holds an extensive selection of award-winning wines. Our wine list includes a wide variety of wines from the best wine regions, and we pride ourselves in sourcing organic, biodynamic and natural wines. The term natural wine, also referred to as artisan or low intervention wine, is made in an organically farmed vineyard with indigenous yeast, and minimal or no added sulfites, resulting in a wine with more purity, vibrancy, and vitality.
A weekly tour with the Head Sommelier Samuel Chantoiseau, takes place on Thursdays and Fridays at 5pm, this guided tour is complimentary for our guests to participate in. A delightful experience for wine enthusiasts.

We start by handpicking the freshest herbs, fruits, and botanicals from our walled garden. These ingredients are expertly muddled, crushed, or infused to extract their pure essence, enhancing the flavour of every cocktail we craft.
Using fresh ingredients means our cocktail menu evolves with the seasons, offering a diverse and exciting selection throughout the year. During the summer months, you can choose from a Plum Sour, Apricot Fizz, or a gin-based Ballymaloe Rose Martini.
