Make Ballymaloe House your home on Sunday evening to relax and enjoy a lazy afternoon by the log fire in the Drawing Room or sip some cocktails on the terrace.
On arrival, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with freshly baked cake of the day by the fire or reading the Sunday papers before taking a stroll around the gardens and beyond exploring the many walks and trails on the 300 acre farm.
Our Sunday night buffet starts at 7pm with a hot soup followed by a wide selection of fish and meat patés, shellfish (clams ,cockles, mussels, crab, shrimps and lobster as available), locally smoked fish (mackerel, wild salmon, hake), home-produced vegetable salads, stuffed eggs and freshly cooked local meats (beef, pork, turkey, ham, lamb, ox tongue etc). After enjoying everything the buffet has to offer, the Ballymaloe Dessert Trolley will be brought to your table. The buffet is a house specialty and served by the Allen family, as they have done since Ballymaloe House opened in 1964.
(Please note that apart from the soup, our Sunday night buffet is not a hot meal)
Feeling refreshed in the morning, enjoy our award winning breakfast at your leisure and perhaps fit in a spot of shopping in our Irish craft gift shop before departing, ready to face the week ahead.
