Ballymaloe Dining

What days are you open for lunch?

Usually 7 days a week. However, currently we are open for Sunday lunch only for non-residents.

What time is lunch served?

Light lunch is served for residents ONLY between 12.30 pm and 4.30 pm Thursday to Saturday. Sunday lunch for residents and non-residents is served between 12.30 pm to 2 pm.

How much is lunch?

Sunday lunch is a set menu @ €50 per person (€25 for under 13's).

What days are you open for dinner?

We are open Tuesday through to Saturday inclusively for residents and non-residents for our 5-course dinner menu.

What time is dinner?

Dinner is served between 6.30 pm and 8.30 pm, Tuesday to Saturday.

How much is dinner?

Is there a dress code?

No

Are children allowed in the dining room?

Yes, but they must stay with their parents and guardians at all times.

Do you have a kids menu?

We can provide alternative options for children if requested but do not offer a separate children’s menu at mealtimes. We do organise a kids High-Tea menu daily at 5.30 pm for residents only.

Do you cater for dietary requirements?

Yes, we will happily cater for all dietary requirements. Please let us know on arrival if you have specific requirements.

Do you have to pay a deposit?

No, we do not ask for a deposit, but do request that you give us plenty of time if you need to cancel your table, please.

Do we still offer a Lunch Buffet on a Sunday?

No, we are currently not serving a lunch buffet on Sunday.

Do Ballymaloe House gift cards expire?

No

Can you use gifts-card in the Ballymaloe Shop / Café, Cookery School and Grainstore as well as Ballymaloe House?

Yes, Ballymaloe gift cards can be redeemed against accommodation, dining, tuition and in the Ballymaloe Grainstore and onsite gift and kitchen shops too – something for everyone!

Outdoor Summer Swimming Pool

Is the Pool open to the public?

No, our swimming pool is for residents only and only available during summer months.

Do we have a Spa or Gym?

No, we do not have Spa or Gym facilities onsite. However, we can arrange spa services for guests upon request and availability.

Ballymaloe Cookery School

Can we visit the Ballymaloe Cookery School gardens?

Yes, please ask at reception for complimentary tokens to visit the Ballymaloe Cookery School gardens. The school is only 4km from Ballymaloe House.

Is the Cookery School at Ballymaloe House?

No. However, it is not far away. The Ballymaloe Cookery School is located 4 kilometres from Ballymaloe House.

Ballymaloe Shop & Café

Is the café open every-day?

Yes, 7 days a week. 10am – 5pm. See www.ballymaloeshop.ie for more information.

Does the café take reservations?

No

What time does the café serve lunch?

Between 12.30 – 4 pm.

What does the cafe serve?

Great coffee, tea and cake or a delicious café-style lunch. The menu is changed daily and everything is freshly made with an emphasis on serving delicious, organic, seasonal dishes with locally sourced ingredients where possible

Our Meals

Breakfast: 8.00 am - 10.30am

Residents only. Enjoy your Ballymaloe breakfast between 8 am – 10.30 am; Fresh local ingredients, poached fruits, cereals and order your choice of hot, freshly cooked breakfast options too.
 

Lunch:

Residents only from Tuesday to Saturday: Join us for a light lunch between 12.30pm – 4pm.

And on SUNDAYS (between 12.30pm - 2pm) for residents and non-residents for our à la carte seasonal Farm to Fork menu and conclude your meal with our award winning dessert trolley - a little of everything encouraged!  

Dinner: 6.30 pm- 8.30 pm

Dine with us between 6.30pm – 8.30pm and enjoy our seasonal Farm to Fork à la carte dinner menu. Take your time to ensure you still have room to enjoy a little of everything from our World Restaurant Award winning dessert trolley.
