The Allen Family

Myrtle and Ivan Allen had 6 children and 22 grandchildren, 39 great-grand children, many still live and work near Ballymaloe House. Many grandchildren went to set-up businesses using the same ethos of sustainability and supporting local, which was the cornerstone of everything done at Ballymaloe by their grandmother.

Ivan passed away in 1998, Myrtle continued to live at Ballymaloe House surrounded by her family, until she passed away in June 2018 at the age of 94.
