What time is breakfast?

Breakfast is served daily, from 08:00 to 10:30 and our residents can enjoy a wholesome buffet and hot cooked options on the menu.

Do you serve lunch?

Light Lunch is served in the Conservatory, Monday to Saturday, 12:30 to 14:00. On Sundays, we serve a 3-course set lunch menu from 12:30 to 14:00 (the last table booking at 13:30) priced at €65 per person, €35 per child under 12 years of age.

What days are you open for dinner?

The 5-course, seasonal farm-to-table dinner menu, with a dessert trolley, is served Monday to Saturday from 18:30 to 21:00, priced at €100 per person. On Sundays, we serve a 4-course dinner from 18:30 to 21:00 at €85 per person.

Do I need to book a table?

Yes, dining is by reservation only. Please call 021 465 2531 or Book Online

Do you have a dress code?

No, we don’t have an official dress code, although feel free to dress up.

Are children allowed in the dining room?

In the dining rooms, we accommodate children of the hotel residents who are under 12 years of age until 20:00.


What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is at 15:00 and check-out is at midday on the day of departure.

What is the cancellation policy?

72 hours or 3 days before arrival.

How can I cancel or amend my booking?

If you booked with a 3rd party or on our website, please follow cancellation instructions. Alternatively, our reservations team will be happy to assist you, call +353 21 465 2531.

What are your bedroom amenities?

All bedrooms include bathrobes and slippers, are en-suite and include a self-controlled heating/cooling system, high-speed Wi-Fi and Bang & Olufson speakers you can connect to via Bluetooth.

Will I have a TV in my bedroom?

No, we invite you to enjoy the tranquility of the countryside and the amazing sounds of nature that will surround you. We do have a stereo system with radio stations in all bedrooms. We have a TV in our Garden Room, please enquire with reception.

Do you have tea/coffee making facilities in the bedroom?

No, instead we serve a slice of seasonal cake with freshly brewed tea or coffee to all our guests upon arrival, and many of our guests choose to enjoy it beside a fire in the Drawing Room.

What can I do when in Ballymaloe?

We have a variety of Guest Activities and Guided Tours for our guests to experience, as well as various walking trails on the 300 acres of grounds.

Do you have a swimming pool?

Yes, we have an outdoor swimming pool which is open once the weather gets warmer, normally from May to September. Although it is heated, it is only open through the summer season. For the rest of the year, we give the space to aquatic wildlife, and in the springtime, it becomes home to hundreds of tadpoles.

Are you pet-friendly? 

No, pets are not allowed at Ballymaloe House Hotel, except for registered assistant dogs.

The Monetary value gift card can be redeemed against guest accommodation and dining at Ballymaloe House Hotel, cookery courses at the Ballymaloe Cookery School and Ballymaloe Shop and Café.

Can I visit Ballymaloe Cookery School and Gardens?

Yes, Ballymaloe Cookery School and Gardens are located 4km from Ballymaloe House Hotel. Our guests can get free entry, please ask the reception team to arrange a token for your complimentary visit.

Can I visit Ballymaloe Shop & Café?

Of course, Ballymaloe Shop and Café is open seven days per week, from 09:00 to 18:00 and offers a wide selection of Irish-made gifts, crafts, knitwear and kitchenware. The Café at the rear of the gift shop serves homemade cakes and beverages daily from 10 am to 5 pm.
