Our Meals

What time is breakfast?

Breakfast is served daily, from 08:00 to 10:30 throughout the dining rooms. Residents of the hotel can enjoy a wholesome buffet and hot cooked options on the menu.

What time is lunch served?

Light lunch is served in the Conservatory, Monday to Saturday, 13:00 to 15:00. On Sundays, a 4-course set lunch menu is available from 12:30 to 14:00, priced at €60 per person, €35 per child under 12 years of age.

What days are you open for dinner?

From April to November, dinner is served Monday to Saturday, from 18:30 to 21:00, throughout the dining rooms. 5-course, seasonal farm-to-fork dinner menu, with a dessert trolley, priced at €95 per person. On Sundays, we serve 4-course dinner, from 19:00 to 21:00 at €75 per person.

Do I need to book a table?

Yes, dining is by reservation only. Please email or call 021 465 2531

If there a dress code?

No, we don’t have an official dress code, although feel free to dress up.

Are children allowed in the dining room?

In the dining rooms, we accommodate children of the hotel residents who are under 12 years of age until 20:00.


What time is check in/out?

Check-in is at 15:00 and check-out is at 12.00.

What can I do when in Ballymaloe?

We have a variety of Guest Activities and Guest Experiences for you to check out while staying at
Ballymaloe House.

Do you have a swimming pool?

Yes, our outdoor swimming pool is opened once the weather gets warmer, normally from May to
September. Although heated, the pool is opened through the summer season. The rest of the year, we give the space to aquatic wildlife, in the Spring a home to hundreds of tadpoles.

Can I visit Ballymaloe Cookery school and Gardens?

Yes, Ballymaloe Cookery School and Gardens are located 4km from Ballymaloe House. Our reception will be happy to arrange a token for a complimentary visit.

Can I visit Ballymaloe Shop & Café?

Of course, Ballymaloe Shop and Café is open 7 days per week, from 09:00 to 18:00 and offers a wide selection of Irish-made gifts, craft, knitwear and kitchenware. The Café at the rear of the gift shop, serves homemade cakes and beverages daily from 10am to 5pm.

Monetary value Ballymaloe House gift card can be redeemed against the accommodation and Dining at Ballymaloe House, events at Ballymaloe Grainstore, cookery courses at the Ballymaloe Cookery School and at the Ballymaloe Shop and Café.
