Ballymaloe House is seeking a Night Porter. Responsibilities are as follows:  

• Work closely with Front of House Reception, and carry out any requests that they may have in relation to customer needs
• Ensure all departmental standard operating procedures, Hotel Policies and Procedures are adhered to
• Welcome guests and carry their luggage
• Answer queries, give local advice and directions
• Run errands for Front of House team. Take messages. Move furniture or equipment to set up rooms for events
• Respond to safety and security issues
• Support the waiting staff
• Keep the reception area, front of house terrace and common rooms clean and tidy
• Provide room service to guests in accordance with Hotel Policies
• Clean and ensure the lobby, and surrounding areas, are kept and left clean and tidy
• Maintain open communication line with staff and guests
• Be environmentally friendly and cost aware
• Carry out additional duties as requested by the manager
• Flexibility is essential for this role, weekends and evening shifts involved.
• Demonstrate a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential information
• Be aware of all first aid and fire procedures. Be familiar with firefighting equipment
• Demonstrate a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential information
• Scheduled hours 11pm until 7am
