We have a superb opportunity for an Accommodation Manager to join our award-winning team at Ballymaloe House. The successful candidate will work with and report directly to the General Manager. 

The Role

Accommodation Manager will be responsible for heading up the accommodation team and drive high standards across all the areas of Ballymaloe House, including 33 bedrooms, public areas, 7 dining rooms, and managing all aspects of bedroom maintenance, including pro-active maintenance.

The successful candidate will take an active role in the refurbishment of bedrooms, identifying areas in need of investment and will be responsible for the décor and facilities in the bedrooms.

Accommodation Manager will be a senior member of the management team, contributing to key strategy decisions. He or she will also be part of the senior sustainability team driving the green agenda, and taking the lead on projects which will reduce departmental waste. Auditing the department and applying improvements to waste and cost management. Sustainability is front and centre of our everyday life in Ballymaloe House, we strive to to be one of the leading green country houses in Ireland.  

Day to day duties will include:

  • Manage the accommodation team
  • Allocate daily tasks to the team, check bedrooms, ensuring cleanliness to the highest standard.
  • Handle the all lost property and bedroom inventory.
  • Deal with customer complaints relating to housekeeping in a professional manner and notify the General Manager
  • Ensuring the needs and requests of our guests are met.
  • Ensure high standards of personal hygiene and grooming across the accommodation team.
  • Reporting and taking action on incidents, accident or damage.
  • Responsible for the management of Health & Safety in the accommodation department.
  • Responsible for Training within the department.
  • Leading the team by example, display passion and optimism.
  • Constantly striving for innovation and improvements of the department.

This is a flexible position, the role can be part time or full-time, and will be considered depending on candidate. The nature of the industry will include a variety of shifts including some weekends.
