Farmers' Markets have made a real come back in the past 10 - 15 years and we are lucky to have a few very good ones close by. If you don’t want to load yourself with produce for the journey home, they are a great place to visit for a delicious picnic style brunch or early lunch.
The Midleton Farmers Market has a great range of stalls, from Woodside Organic Pork to Declan Ryan’s Artisan Breads to Willie, a local farmer, who sells delicious Ballycotton potatoes from the back of his van. A 20 minute drive from Ballymaloe and on every Saturday morning from 9.30am - 1pm http://www.midletonfarmersmarket.com/
The Mahon Point Farmers Market is equally special, with Green Saffron Curry’s, Lolo’s Steak Sandwiches and many sweet treats to take away and most importantly - great coffee. About a 30 minute drive from Ballymaloe and on every Thursday from 10am - 3pm http://www.mahonpointfarmersmarket.com/
