A Festive Christmas Concert with Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin and his sons Owen and Moley Ó Súilleabháin (size2shoes) After their wonderfully rousing and well-received concert in June, we welcome back Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin and his sons Owen and Moley Ó Súilleabháin (size2shoes). Their festive Christmas-themed is the perfect prelude to December 25th. Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin has balanced his career as a composer, and recording artist and musicologist with his work in academia. He has had a massive impact on Irish traditional culture and is acknowledged for having developed a unique Irish piano style that explores traditional, classical music, jazz and world music. He is also an internationally acclaimed performer known for his invariably spirited, funny and engaging stage presence. Mícheál will be joined by his two sons who are returning from New York City for this Christmas concert. Owen and Moley's unique style incorporates rap and beat box, adding to the wide range of song, story and music. They have performed with Russell Crowe, The Chieftains, Bobby McFerrin, renowned poet David Whyte, Canadian rocker Alan Doyle (Great Big Sea) and violinist Nigel Kennedy. Director Steven Spielberg also cast them to sing in his 2012 movie War Horse. A family performing a family Christmas concert suitable for all ages - Saturday 21 December will be a Happy Christmas evening!
