This Halloween night at the Grainstore we are screening the sensational production of "Frankenstein" by the National Theatre of London
It's both trick and treat at Ballymaloe Grainstore on Halloween Night, Thursday 31 October.
The technological trick is presenting FRANKENSTEIN, which was recorded live on the stage of the National Theatre of London. Starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller, who jointly won the 2012 Olivier Award for Best Actor, the 'monster hit' will be shown on a cinema size screen in the Grainstore at 8pm. Tickets are €10.
The culinary treat is a three-course Halloween-themed dinner in Ballymaloe House - think pumpkin soup and devil's food cake - served at 6pm for €45.
Oscar-winner Danny Boyle ( Slumdog Millionaire, Trainspotting, London Olympics) directs this sensational production with two of the hottest actors at work on both sides of the Atlantic: Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock Holmes, Star Trek: Into Darkness) as Victor Frankenstein and Jonny Lee Miller (Trainspotting, Elementary) as his creation.
The Times called FRANKENSTEIN a five star 'theatrical coup,' while the Daily Telegraph praised it as 'a thrill...the most viscerally exciting and stunning show in town,' and Time Out London declared it 'a monster hit.'
Tickets: €10 With Halloween dinner in Ballymaloe House at 6pm: €55
