Brian Deady rocked The Big Shed at the Kerrygold Ballymaloe Literary Festival Food and Wine. Now he returns for a night of danceable summery soul and doo wop music in the Grainstore.
"Deady is becoming our No. 1 favourite act in Ireland " - Nile Rodgers
"Deep raw soul that never goes out of fashion" - The Irish Times
“Album pick of the Month” – KCRW, Los Angeles
Brian Deady is a singer/songwriter/producer whose sound suggests he was born far from his native West Cork. The Munster soulster made his first release in 2009 with the album ‘Interview’ and has been climbing higher and higher ever since. The summery soulfulness of his sound has caught the attention on many discerning ears from Nile Rodgers to Nightmares on Wax to the famed KCRW Radio in LA.
Following a superb year in 2013 in which he made his TV debut on The Late Late Show and opened for the legendary Nile Rodgers at the Cork Jazz Festival, he also sang beside the likes of Paul Potts and Jack L at The Bord Gais Theatre in December.
Deady is currently working on a new album of original material due for release next year, and touring a solo show playing an interesting mix of Doo Wop covers all done with his own voice with live drums from Steve O’Brien.
