Ballymaloe Easter Fair

Easterly winds will waft over East Cork on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 April as the first annual Ballymaloe Easter Fair unfurls over two days of springtime fun for children and adults.

Kids are encouraged to wear their wellies and get their hands dirty while participating in a variety of nature-based activities. They'll paint, plant and decorate during a one-hour Craft Workshop, and search for nature's treasures during a Forest Scavenger Hunt in the woodlands behind Ballymaloe House.

Ballymaloe Cine Club announces the second film in the new series that combines casual,quality Ballymaloe food with a quality film. My Left Foot (Ireland, 1989), the biopic of Irish writer and cerebral palsy sufferer Christy Brown, will be shown at 8pm on Friday 11 April in Ballymaloe Grainstore, Shanagarry, Co. Cork.

Finbar Furey

Patrick Talbot Productions Presents Finbar Furey In Concert at the Ballymaloe Grainstore

Musician, singer, recording artist, actor, raconteur, Finbar Furey is one of the great Irish performing artists.

He now makes his Ballymaloe Grainstore debut with his full band.

As the lead singer, banjo and uileann pipes player with The Furey Brothers he helped to guide the evolution of Ireland’s traditional music.

Since leaving the band to pursue a solo career, Finbar has continued to push back the boundaries and has gained international acclaim.

Voci Nuove

Voci Nuove is a twenty-four person mixed-voice chamber choir based in Cork.

In Spring 2013 they completed their first series of concerts in Cork, Ennis, and Galway entitled ‘Pitches be Crazy’. Inspired by the tremendous reception received, the group began competing, winning several categories at Cork's Feis Maitiu. They were awarded second place in the Sacred and Chamber choir categories at the Cork International Choral Festival, and also won the John Mannion Perpetual Trophy.
