Also, a Wine dinner afterwards in the dining room at Ballymaloe House, 8.30pm hosted by John Hinckley €75 to include set 3 course dinner and wines.

People can book for both the tasting and the dinner or just one of the events. Both will have different wines.

John Wilson of The Irish Times

John Wilson, one of Ireland’s top wine writers, will give a tasting of a selection of his favourite wines from his upcoming new wine book 'Wilson on Wine 2015'.

Both events will have different wines, so one can attend either one of the events, or both the wine tasting followed by dinner & wines.

Ballymaloe wins 'Best Restaurant Wine List & Wine Service' Award

We were delighted to win the nationwide award for 'Best Restaurant Wine List and Wine Service' in the annual wine awards by well known wine writer, Tomás Clancy, published in the Sunday Business Post.

We are thrilled and delighted, and lovely acknowledgement for the great team here at Ballymaloe, and also special to retain the award for the second year running.

A Wine Geese event with John Wilson

We are delighted to be welcoming John Wilson, wine writer, The Irish Times, to Cork, on Thursday 5th December. John will give a presentation and wine tasting based around the famous Corkman and wine writer Maurice Healy.

Rhône Wine Tasting

Rhône Wine Week takes place from 25th to 30th November 2013 around the country. We’ve also come across claims that St Patrick himself brought Syrah to the Rhône (and we’d like to think he did) then for Rhône Wine Week we are in a way welcoming home many of our own. Syrah is one of the main grape varieties grown in the Rhône Valley; it is truly at home in this region.
