We are delighted to be welcoming Maximilian Riedel of the 11th generation Riedel glass making family, for his first ever event to be held outside of Dublin.
Sean and Caro Feely's long-held dream to go wine-farming was clinched in 2005 when they bought a rundown vineyard in South West France. Both were professionals in Dublin city with more experience in spreadsheets and presentations than in farming and fermentation.
Now twelve years into the adventure they celebrate not a misty dream, but years of hard work and the inspiration of working with nature and nurturing their farm back to the full health and flavour of a living biodynamic soil.
This unique Dom Pérignon Champagne dinner will be presented by O'Briens Director of Wine, Lynne Coyle, Master of Wine in the beautiful surroundings of Ballymaloe House. The ingredients for each dish have been carefully selected to match each Dom Pérignon Champagne.
The evening will commence with Dom Pérignon and Canapes, followed by a three course dinner individually paired with Dom Pérignon Champagnes followed by café gourmand.
We are all looking forward to welcoming Maximilian Riedel to Ballymaloe for a Riedel glass comparative wine tasting taking place on Thursday 12th November, 7.30pm in the Grainstore at Ballymaloe. Maximilian Riedel represents the 11th generation of the Riedel family who have been making wine glasses. The Riedel company specialise in wine glasses as well as glasses for all other types of drinks, something they have fine tuned over the past 11 generations.
