National Theatre Live presents ...
Martin McDonagh's first UK play in more than ten years has received rave, five star reviews from the critics.  A performance was recorded live on the stage of the Wyndham Theatre in London's West End.  It will be shown on a screen in the Grainstore.

Stargazers visit the Grainstore on Easter Sunday to celebrate the release of their new single, Paper Moon.

The band launched over three decades ago and while the line-up has undergone some changes over the years, the harmonies are as tight as ever! Stargazers have maintained the intrinsically musical and harmonious tone for which they're well known.  The trio are defined not only by their experience and skill as musicians, but also by the level of fun and entertainment they bring to each and every performance.

Des Bishop: Grey Matters

We are delighted to welcome comic Des Bishop for his first stand-up show in the Grainstore on 16 March - the night before St. Patrick's Day holiday.

Book Launch ‘Ballymaloe, a Day in the Life’ by Daphne Spillane

On Sunday 13th December Rachel Allen officially launched sales of the stunning photographic book 'Ballymaloe, A Day in the Life' at a festive reception at Ballymaloe House.

A classic of modern Irish theatre, Catalpa is the story of the daring 1875 whale ship rescue of six Irish prisoners from Fremantle penal colony in Australia - all seen through the vibrant imagination of a screenwriter, the best movie never made! Catalpa is about heroes and visionaries, political intrigue and personal loyalty, with hot romance, mixed-up rebels and battles at sea. A subversive epic, a celebration of the power of live theatre “lyrical and passionate, satirical and very funny” (Irish Times).

Screening of Hamlet

National Theatre Live presents HAMLET Starring Benedict Cumberbatch. Broadcast from the stage of The Barbican Theatre in London. Shown on a large screen in the Ballymaloe Grainstore. Academy Award nominee Benedict Cumberbatch (BBC’s Sherlock, The Imitation Game, Frankenstein at the National Theatre) takes on the title role of Shakespeare’s great tragedy.

Martin Hayes and Dennis Cahill

Irish fiddle virtuoso Martin Hayes and American guitarist Dennis Cahill possess a rare musical kinship, ranking them among the most memorable partnerships of our era. Together they have garnered international renown for taking traditional music to the very edge of the genre, holding listeners spellbound with their slow-building, fiery performances. "If your live music rations were limited to a single concert in the entire year, then you’d be either crazy or foolish if you didn’t pass that precious time in the company of Martin Hayes and Dennis Cahill" - The Irish Times Tickets €22
