Murder Mystery Dining Experience at Ballymaloe House

Join us at Ballymaloe House on Thursday 8th November 2018 at 7 pm sharp for something a bit different, our first Murder Mystery dining experience hosted by professional actors.

Encourage 'your mob' to embrace the theme and dress in mobster fashion or simply enjoy solving the mystery over an especially prepared delicious set menu in a beautiful setting of Ballymaloe House.

An exhibition of paintings by the artist John Adams will be on display in Ballymaloe Grainstore, on the grounds of Ballymaloe House in Shanagarry, Co. Cork, during the month of May.

Flower Arranging Courses at Ballymaloe House

Iona is our in-house floral designer and she predominantly uses wildflowers and foliage from the Ballymaloe walled gardens and farm to decorate our rooms and tables.

Join Iona for a day to see how she beautifully brings the outside in and creates simple and effective floral designs naturally, she will demonstrate her style of flower arranging and create seasonal displays for table centres, posies and larger displays of country house flowers as well as other seasonal floral decorations.  Photo credit: The Flower Press Blog

Ballycotton Lifeboat Annual Gala Dinner

Ballymaloe House have supported Ballycotton Lifeboat with an annual fundraising gala dinner since opening their Yeats Room restaurant in 1964.  We are delighted to host this event every February, not only because we wish to support and raise awareness and funds to help the incredibly important work our local lifeboat station and crew do, but from a personal point of view, Myrtle and Ivan Allen happened to meet at a Ballycotton Lifeboat fundraising event at Ballymaloe House in the early 1940's when the house was then owned by the Lichfield family.

Ballymaloe House are delighted to have registered to host a small dinner party table during this National Council of the Blind of Ireland (NCBI) national fundraising and awareness national initiative.  For a week in November 2017, restaurants across Ireland are challenging their guests to dine in the dark to raise awareness and vital funds for life changing sight loss services in Ireland. This immersive experience allows people to challenge their thinking around sight loss and the people affected by it.
